Where are you located?

I am located in Sanger, Texas (just north of Denton). If you plan to ship, let us know in advance and I will send very specific shipping instructions to follow.

How long does the flower preservation process take?

We use the traditional wooden press method of flower pressing, and it is quite a lengthy process. Once we receive your bouquet, we begin deconstructing and loading it petal by petal into one of our limited wooden presses. Some flowers take longer than others, but most are generally in the press somewhere between 8-12 weeks. Once the flowers are fully pressed and dry, we then start the reconstruction, design and framing process. You can expect your completed framed piece to be back to you between 3 and 6 months. This can vary based on our busier seasons as well. It will be worth the wait and you will have it to cherish forever!

How far in advance should I book my bouquet preservation?

We are only able to accept a limited number of bookings per week, so the sooner, the better! If you know bouquet preservation is something you want to do, and you have a wedding date set - go ahead a book to ensure we have the availability. We are currently accepting 2024 bookings!

A $100 non-refundable deposit and a signed contract is required to lock in your date/booking.

How quickly do you need my bouquet?

We require all bouquets to be delivered within two days of your event. It is so important to begin the pressing process when then bouquet is as fresh as possible to retain as much color as possible. The fresher the bouquet, the better the outcome!

Which flowers press the best?

This is sometimes a tough question to answer, as flowers don’t always press the same each time, and it really depending on the condition of the flowers when they go into the press! You can click HERE to view a list of flowers we have the most success with and we know press well. We always recommend a variety of textures, sizes and colors of flowers in your bouquet to create the most visually interesting framed piece possible. We love lots of color here at Studio 89 Design Co., and are so excited to see colorful florals as a wedding trend for 2023! We do work with white bouquets as well, but encourage greenery and filler flowers to be included for dimension/variety.

Do you use any chemicals to preserve the flowers?

Change in color or fading is expected during the pressing process. Most red flowers will turn darker and deeper, pinks will often turn more purple, and white flowers will turn more antique white. We like to embrace the natural change of the flowers colors and stay true to it’s natural state, however we do have special techniques to gently color correct certain flowers when deemed necessary (mainly whites or light pinks.)

How long will my framed flowers last?

If preserved and framed professionally, and displayed and cared for correctly, your pressed florals will last for decades to come! We always recommend displaying your framed piece away from direct sunlight, windows, and air vents in order to properly maintain flower color quality much longer. Keep in mind that color fading will continue to happen naturally overtime due to the organic nature.
